These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of Uketsuke (受付), the visitor reception service provided by ACALL Inc. (Acall株式会社, "ACALL", "we") at app.uketsuke.app, including its reception kiosks. By using Uketsuke you agree to these Terms. If a separate written agreement with ACALL applies to your company, that agreement prevails where it differs.
1. The service
Uketsuke lets companies pre-register visitors, check them in at reception kiosks, notify hosts and keep a visitor log, with optional calendar, chat and face recognition features.
Uketsuke is currently offered as a proof of concept (PoC). Features may change, and we may add, change or remove features with reasonable notice.
2. Accounts
You sign in with your work email, Microsoft or Google account. Keep your sign-in methods secure and tell your administrator or us about any unauthorised use.
Company administrators manage members, roles, locations, kiosks and settings for their company, and are responsible for the accounts they create.
Kiosks must be paired by an administrator and kept in a location the company controls.
3. Acceptable use
You must not:
break the law, or infringe the rights or privacy of others, including by registering visitors or enabling face recognition without the notices and consents required by law;
access data or accounts you are not authorised to access, or try to bypass security or access controls;
interfere with or overload the service, or probe, scan or test it for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
reverse engineer the service except as allowed by law, or resell it without our agreement;
upload malware or content that is unlawful or harmful.
We may suspend access that breaks these Terms or puts the service or other customers at risk.
4. Customer data
Your company owns the data it puts into Uketsuke ("customer data"). We use customer data only to provide and support the service, as described in our Privacy Policy, and we do not sell it or use it for advertising or to train AI models.
Company administrators can export their company's data at any time from the settings. When a company stops using Uketsuke, we delete its customer data within a reasonable period, except where the law requires us to keep it.
Your company is responsible for having a lawful basis for the data it collects about its employees and visitors, and for giving them the required notices.
5. Availability
We aim for 99.9% monthly availability and publish current availability on our status page. During the proof-of-concept period this is a target, not a guarantee, and no service credits apply. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where possible.
6. Third-party services
When your company connects Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack or other third-party services, their own terms apply to them. We are not responsible for third-party services.
7. Fees
Fees, if any, are set out in your company's agreement with ACALL. Use during the proof-of-concept period is free unless agreed otherwise.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" during the proof-of-concept period. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the extent permitted by law, ACALL is not liable for indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages or lost profits, and ACALL's total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees your company paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim (or, if none were paid, 10,000 yen). This limitation does not apply to damage caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow it, including under the Consumer Contract Act of Japan.
9. Suspension and termination
Your company may stop using Uketsuke at any time. We may suspend or end the service for a company that seriously breaches these Terms, or end the proof of concept with reasonable notice, giving the company the opportunity to export its data.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and give advance notice of material changes. Continuing to use Uketsuke after the change takes effect means you accept it.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over any dispute relating to these Terms or the service.
